Exploring Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
for the 21st Century and beyond

BUILDING OUR FUTURE WORKFORCE BY INSPIRING STUDENTS TODAY!

STARBASE Maxwell is a unique and innovative Department of Defense (DoD) STEM awareness and outreach program that creates a bridge between DoD and civilian communities while providing local students access to DoD’s wealth of expertise in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) career fields.

STARBASE Maxwell supports the Department of Defense’s Strategic STEM Education Plan:

  • Communicate the value and purpose of the DoD STEM Strategy and the need for engagement

  • Inspire youth and community engagement in STEM education and outreach in the K-12 domain by supporting and enhancing student and educator participation in DoD sponsored STEM events

  • Promote increased participation of underserved groups in STEM activities and education programs

  • Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of STEM initiatives by gathering evidence using a systematic approach

I had the best time of my life at STARBASE. I learned about programming robots, coding, rocketry and all sorts of exciting things. I am interested in going to college and becoming an engineer as a result of my time at STARBASE. I loved it!
